Three of my favourite things.

I bought a new¬†blade and mat for my Silhouette, as well as some gold foil, and it is as though the heavens themselves opened up. I was creating until 3am last night. It’s seven¬†in the morning now¬†so that should¬†give you a bit of insight into my enthusiasm.

I kind of really like it when my pages have a theme. It means I am working with less things on my desk. In this case, it was simply magazine cut outs from one magazine, gold foil cut outs, Goethe book pages, and the Gossamer Blue September kit scraps. It makes it easier to make pages because I’ve limited my choices.

That “today” script is from One Little Bird. I’ve been thinking a lot about my addiction to the internet lately, and Andrea’s post came at the perfect time for me to call myself to action. I’m joining her challenge of creating offline habits. I’m not sure if I’ll talk about it on IG or on my blog yet … since I’m trying to focus on life away from those two places, duh … but I did want to mention it.

I also made a cover for this art journal. I’m thinking I’m going to be finishing with it this month since it’s so little, so I slapped a Paislee Press “September” brush script onto the cover as a title. In gold foil. Obvs.

  • These pages are KILLER. And I’m in the same place regarding online addiction. Lemme know if you discover good ways to be offline when your business is online. It’s so hard!

You may have told me already, but what kind of journal is this? It’s purdy. ^_^

  • Great pages! I’m going to have to start coming here for inspiration right before I create. I think I’m thinking too hard about what kind of journaling I should be doing, but yours are always very genuine!

  • So much beauty. I love that you kept a consistent theme. Im always so inspired by how you layer your elements and leave that breathtaking ‘white’ space!

  • I agree with your comment on cohesiveness. It,s always fun when there is a theme or a strong thread among the images. I like these a lot, especially the first one.

  • ooooo love as always. My favourites (if I really do have a favourite because I love them all) is the Today pages. Also love your page of journaling and thoughts and the fact that you were deliberately working with less. See you next week! x
