The best, best thing about the internet is the people. Ironic, right ? It was because of the internet that I met the wonderfully kind, crafty Lauren. We are both creative class addicts and have a goal to actually stop them collecting in our computer folders and start creating. We’re starting with art journaling. We are going through A Beautiful Mess’s Art Journal Everyday (no longer available) and 52 Weeks of Art Journaling with a goal of completing a minimum of three per week. We’ll be sharing them on our blogs every Thursday.
If you’d like to play along and have a bit of accountability, please contact one of us.
Now for my pages…
My favourite new quote, done in my favourite new “technique” – handwriting cut out with my new Silhouette Portrait.
How deep am I ?
So satisfying to cut swear words out with a fancy machine – text from Pinterest.
And three from the Art Journal Everyday prompts…
My thoughts will always go back to Germany and a world of instant travel, strong accents, true wandering and easy-to-create adventures.
I had a year of self-reflection last year without any interruption and the main thing I learned was that I needed to be a whole lot more deliberate about the way I spent my time and the decisions I make. Now that I am making an active choice to live this way, it feels like I have levelled up.
I’m really excited about how freeing art journaling is. I’m really excited to develop this skill and start loving every page that I create. For now, I’m still learning.
