Highly recommend getting together with a group of Highly recommend getting together with a group of artists for curing any kind of creative desert. This journal is chuuuuuunky, and almost done and I can’t believe last week actually happened.
Why do I journal? To document. To take note of wha Why do I journal? To document. To take note of what’s happening in my heart. In my head. In my life at the moment.

To show gratitude for the moment. To process the moment.

I journal because what I’m feeling, what’s happening to me, who I am, and my story… it’s all important. It’s all worthy of the time it takes to acknowledge it.

This is from my life changing past week (this particular moment in Leipzig with one of my favourite humans, @dansmoncrane). This journal is returning to my artist self (thanks to other artists). There’s so much documented in there.

I also am part of the glorious @robenmarie’s Create and Thrive audio summit (season two is The Art of Journals and Sketchbooks) and I’m talking about documenting. I’m talking about everything this photo represents, this journal represents. And I hope you let me keep you company while you document in your own journals too (Link in her profile!).
I’ve been keeping a health tracker and filling i I’ve been keeping a health tracker and filling it in religiously every day. I started with a Hobonichi A6 Avec (Daily), then a Hobonichi Weeks, then a PTD Weekly, then the Hobo Weeks again. The daily didn’t have a decent weekly view. The PTD didn’t have enough space and the Hobo Weeks? I CANNOT get myself to love it. Cannot. Will I accept this fact after trying it out five separate times? Probably not.

But I was watching my fellow Grey @itskaitlingrey’s video on her TN Weekly and something clicked. I do my health focuses in 12 week stretches, started a new one on Monday, and so it was perfect timing.

Paired it with my self coaching / coaching with Kelli journal (TN lightweight paper) and it’s a great partnership for this cover.

The cover itself has a star that I have wanted since forever from @erin_ware_journaling / @mylifemits, plus a South African beaded flag (beads are v traditional, it’s kitsch I love it). Covering notebooks in this simple way is my fave since highschool and I love Erin for bringing me back to it.

Last pic is pure happiness and part of looking after my mental and physical health.

Love this setup deeply so far except for one thing : I still hate using Travelers Notebooks in the leather cover. It makes for such a bumpy experience with any other notebook grouped together. Any tips for learning to love it?
