Possible failure

Trying anyway.
One of the fun things grief has brought is an unde One of the fun things grief has brought is an undercurrent of anxiety. Ahhhhhh-nxiety. I expected to be sad and angry but I didn’t expect to feel fear.

There’s no way to know when it’ll pop up. There’s no way around it. But I have learned that, like most things, it just needs some softness and acceptance. Going “oh hey, there’s some anxiety here” and then continuing on has been so powerful.

Things that help me:
Writing the word down repeatedly
Tearing paper and collaging it together
Making a mug of tea
Taking the trash out (don’t tell T)
Going for a quick cycle
Deep breath
Touching my stomach
Using Griffin as a weighted blanket
Asking for a hug
Tickling Elliot
Stretching
A bath and a podcast
Cooking in silence
Reorganising a drawer
Clearing a desk

What helps you with anxiety?
